Line up: Constructive controversy

Take a controversial issue within the discipline:

1. Ask students to place themselves on a line depending on where they stand on an issue strongly disagreestrongly agree.

2. Students that most strongly disagree need to develop their position using a theoretical perspective and those that strongly agree do the same. Rest of class votes which was the most persuasive.

3. Ask the students to line up again and see if they’ve changed places.
