The student comes to the workshop prepared to give:

1. An overview of the scene-where it fits within the play and why it is important

2. A glossary of difficult terms within the scene and relevant props

3. Detailed suggestions for how, in speaking the text aloud in parts student actors should use:

a. Space

b. Movement (including gesture)

c. Voice-volume, force, pace

d. Audience interaction

4. An interpretive rationale for choices made for the use of voice, space, movement and audience interaction
